Voloshyn explains how false Russian reports about captured territories affect further assaults

Ukrinform
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian command submitted false reports to higher headquarters claiming the alleged capture of settlements, which caused disorganization in the actions of artillery and assault units.

Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces, stated this in a comment to Ukrinform

"In the Orikhiv direction, the command of Russian assault units submitted a false report to the Russian high command claiming the capture of the settlements of Lukianivske and Mahdalynivka," Voloshyn said.

According to him, because of this distorted information, Russian artillery units received maps containing false data, which resulted in a lack of coordination between assault and fire support units during combat operations.

"In reality, when Russian assault troops try to advance, they request artillery support to strike our positions, including around Lukianivske and Mahdalynivka, but the artillerymen say that this information is false, and in effect the Russian assault troops are left without artillery support," the spokesperson explained.

He added that because of such false reports, Russian units are acting without coordination and are not receiving support either from artillery or drone units, which significantly complicates their assault operations.

As Ukrinform reported, over the past day, May 10, in the Orikhiv direction the enemy attempted three times to advance in the areas of Shcherbaky and Stepnohirsk.
