Russia targets Sumy with drones, damages civilian infrastructure

On Monday morning, Russian drones targeted Sumy community, striking a civilian infrastructure facility in the Zarichnyi district of the city.

This was reported by Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA), on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“There is damage, including in the residential area. Partial power outages have also been reported. Preliminary information indicates no casualties,” Hryhorov clarified.

Specialists are currently inspecting the site and recording the damage. A response headquarters has been set up to address the aftermath of the attack.

“Residents will be assisted in repairing damage to their homes and will receive all necessary support,” he added.

Earlier, it was reported that Konotop and Shostka districts of Sumy region were partially left without power following Russian strikes during the night of October 2.
