Russia confirms strike on oil refinery in Krasnodar region

A fire broke out at the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region following a drone attack.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the ASTRA Telegram channel, citing the regional emergency response headquarters.

The report states that the fire was caused by “falling fragments of an UAV,” which struck one of the refinery’s installations.

“There were no casualties. A flare-up occurred over an area of 30 square meters and has already been extinguished. Emergency and specialized services are working at the site,” the statement reads.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on August 28, Ukraine’s General Staff confirmed strikes on two oil refineries, ammunition depots, and several Russian logistical facilities. Among the targeted refineries was the Afipsky oil refinery in Krasnodar region.
