Russians transfer new motorized rifle regiment to south – DF spox
This was stated by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, in a comment to Ukrinform.
"Recently, the enemy has been trying to replenish its losses in manpower, so a certain number of forces and resources [Russian] are coming in to replace the units that have suffered losses. According to our intelligence, last week the enemy transferred a newly formed motorized rifle regiment here. This regiment was created from scratch, fulfilling Putin's order to increase the mobilization resource by 30,000. In other words, this is a new military unit that was formed in the town of Khankala in Chechnia. Several battalions have already arrived here in several echelons. They have already arrived in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, and in the near future they will also join the units conducting assault operations," Voloshin said.
According to him, in addition, the enemy carried out a rotation on the Tenderivska and Kinburn Spit last week.
“The enemy carried out a rotation and replaced the well-known Tenth Cossack Reconnaissance and Assault Brigade ”Don" with two battalions of their airborne assault troops from the airborne assault brigade. Why did they replace these Cossacks? Because it was created from various mobilized volunteers who have low morale and low combat readiness. The enemy was afraid of losing the Kinburn and Tenderivska spits, so they replaced them. In the near future, this Don brigade will undergo restoration and coordination, and we expect to finish them off in the next assaults. They did not fulfill their tasks on the Tenderivska spit," the spokesman said.
As reported by Ukrinform, in the southern direction, the enemy increased the use of Molniia-type loitering munitions by more than 40%.
