Seven cruise missiles, 82 drones destroyed over Khmelnytskyi region overnight

In the early hours of Monday, May 26, Ukraine's air defense forces shot down seven Russian cruise missiles and neutralized 82 Shahed attack drones in the Khmelnytskyi region.

Serhii Tiurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"During yet another combined Russian attack on the night of May 26, air defense forces downed seven cruise missiles and destroyed 82 Shahed-type drones," Tiurin wrote.

He noted that around 20 facilities were damaged as a result of the attack. Assessment commissions are continuing their inspections and are currently accepting claims from affected residents.

Compensation for damaged property will be provided through local budgets and the eRecovery program, with additional support from the regional budget if necessary.

Ukrainian air defense destroyed nine Kh-101 cruise missiles and 288 out of 355 drones launched by Russia during the large-scale overnight attack on May 25.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, the Russian strike damaged four businesses, 18 homes, and a power transmission line.
