Poll: 67% of Estonians support continued aid to Ukraine

A total of 67% of Estonia's residents support continuing assistance to Ukraine in its fight against Russian military aggression, a figure that has remained unchanged from last year.

That is according to Estonia's public broadcaster ERR, Ukrinform reports.

The survey found that 80% of ethnic Estonians support continued assistance to Ukraine, compared with 41% among respondents from other ethnic groups.

More than two-thirds of those surveyed said Estonia should maintain or increase its current level of defense spending. In addition, 71% of respondents believe that membership in NATO helps prevent a potential military conflict involving Estonia.

The poll also showed that 62% of citizens are willing to contribute to the country's defense according to their skills and abilities. Meanwhile, 81% believe Estonia should resist an aggressor under any circumstances if the country comes under attack.

The study, titled "Public Opinion on National Defense," was conducted by Kantar Emor at the request of the Estonian Ministry of Defense.

The survey was carried out in March 2026 and included 1,372 residents of Estonia aged 15 to 74. Data was collected through online and telephone interviews.
