Russian drone attacks police car in Kherson, three injured

A Russian drone attacked a police vehicle in Kherson overnight on May 31, leaving three officers injured.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Oleksii Biloshytskyi, First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine.

“Every day and every night, when we go on patrol, we understand that the enemy can strike at any moment. Despite constant danger, police officers continue to perform their duties, rescue people, and provide assistance to everyone in need,” Biloshytskyi said.

He noted that “during night patrol in the city, the crew came under attack by an enemy FPV drone. As a result of the strike on the service vehicle, three police officers suffered concussions and injuries of varying severity.”

He added that there is no threat to the officers’ lives and that they are receiving necessary medical treatment.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on May 21 in Kharkiv region, Russian forces attacked a moving cargo vehicle with an FPV drone, killing a 40-year-old driver. When police arrived at the scene, a second strike targeted their service vehicle.
