Ukrainian defenders repel Russian assault in Kursk region
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Volunteer Army reported this on Telegram and released a corresponding video.
"In Kursk region, the Russians are stubbornly pushing forward — sometimes in small infantry groups, sometimes in full columns of equipment, attacking in several waves. But each of their 'offensives' ends with a traditional fire show from the 47th Brigade Magura," the Ukrainian Volunteer Army (UVA) stated.
At first, the Russians attacked with three tanks and two armored personnel carriers (APCs). Only one APC survived, according to the UVA.
In the second wave of the attack, the Russians deployed two more tanks. According to the UVA, fighters from the Magura Brigade and adjacent units burned one tank and disabled another. The enemy’s attack was repelled.
During the assault, the Russians lost four tanks and one APC.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group of Troops, the Hromovyk strike drones unit destroyed Russian communication equipment, leaving the enemy without communication.
