109 clashes on frontline in past day, mostly in Pokrovsk and Kursk sectors

Over the past day, March 2, 109 combat engagements between units of the Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded at the front, with the enemy attacking most of all in the Pokrovsk sector and in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 08:00 on Monday, March 3.

Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using four missiles, as well as 88 air strikes, including 126 guided bombs.

In addition, the Russians conducted over 5,600 attacks, including 124 with multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,375 kamikaze drones.

The Russian army carried out air strikes, in particular in the areas of Liutivka, Dovzhyk in Kharkiv region, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Leontovychi, Novopavlivka, Oleksiivka, Horikhove, Voskresenka in Donetsk region, Zaliznychne, Huliaypole, Varvarivka in Zaporizhzhia region, and Sichneve in Dnipropetrovsk region.

Missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces hit four areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one radar station and four Russian artillery systems.

In the Kharkiv sector, there was one firefight in the area of Vovchansk.

Three hostile attacks took place in the Kupiansk sector over the last day. Defense forces repelled Russian assaults in the areas of Zahryzove, Petropavlivka and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 15 times, trying to advance near Novyi, Yampolivka and Novomykhailivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, four Russian assaults took place in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka and Oleksandro-Shultyno.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 14 attacks in the areas of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 18 Russian attacks in the direction of Tarasivka, Promin, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotlyarivka, Andriivka, Vodiane Druhe and Ulakly.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled five enemy attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Pryvilne and Skudne.

In the Orikhivsk sector, in the areas of Nesterianka and Novodanylivka, the invaders made two unsuccessful assaults on the positions of the Defense Forces.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders three times.

Russians did not conduct offensive actions on the Siverske and Huliaypole directions.

In the Kursk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 30 attacks by Russian troops yesterday. The enemy launched 444 artillery attacks, including 12 from multiple launch rocket systems, and carried out 19 air strikes, dropping 30 guided aerial bombs.

No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected on the Volyn and Polissia directions.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to March 3, 2025, amounted to about 878,070 people, including another 1,350 people over the past day.
