Crimea becomes inconvenient territory for Russia - Ukraine’s defense intel chief
This was stated by Ukraine’s defense intelligence head, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Ukrinform reports with reference to the agency’s press service.
According to the official heading the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, rebuilding the Black Sea fleet following a spree of Ukrainian strikes will be a challenging issue for Moscow.
"Everything we are doing, apart from routinely destroying (Russia’s – ed.) supply routes, including the railway, is also de-sacralizing Crimea. The bridge must be destroyed. So far, we’ve managed to force Russia to withdraw their warships from Crimea as far as possible. Was it to Ochamchire (Russia's new port in occupied Abkhazia)? Excellent!" Budanov remarked.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the Russian authorities to hide from domestic audiences the actual losses in the war against Ukraine, as well as to find resources for pursuing the war effort.
