Tavria sector: 493 invaders eliminated, 46 units of equipment destroyed in past day

"In total, the enemy launched 32 airstrikes, 8 missile strikes, conducted 38 combat engagements and 1,007 artillery strikes in the Tavria direction," the press center of the Defense Forces of Tavria direction posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

In the area of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops in the Avdiivka sector, the enemy’s total losses amounted to 499 troops.

Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy that does not stop attempts to encircle Avdiivka. Thus, in the past day, the Defense Forces repelled 8 enemy attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and another 16 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske of the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka sector, nine enemy attacks were repelled.

In the Shakhtarske sector, the invaders did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks west of Verbove, Robotyne and south of Novodarivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.

"Total enemy losses amounted to 493 troops, about 10 occupiers surrendered. Total enemy military equipment losses reached 46 units, including 1 tank, 8 armored personnel carriers, 12 artillery systems, 2 air defense systems, 12 UAVs, 10 vehicles and 1 unit of special equipment. Three ammunition depots were destroyed," the press center said.

As reported, from February 24, 2022, to January 7, 2024, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 364,730 Russian invaders, 860 of them in the past day.
