War update: 45 combat clashes on Saturday

That’s according to a morning situational update by the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

In total, the enemy launched nine missile strikes and 84 airstrikes, as well as 50 rocket salvos, on the positions of Ukrainian troops and on populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilian casualties and damage to civil infrastructure were reported.

Russia also launched 22 Shahed kamikaze drones, of which 19 were intercepted.

Russian airstrikes hit the settlements of Oleksandrivka, Vovchansk, Prykolotne, Chuhunivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Tabaivka of Kharkiv region; Serebryanske Forestry of Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Spirne, New York, Oleksandropil, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Staromaiorske of Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Novodanilivka, Orikhiv, and Pyatikhatki of Zaporizhzhia region; and Zmiivka of Kherson region.

More than 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under Russian artillery fire.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation saw no significant changes.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas close to the border, engaging in reconnaissance and sabotage efforts to prevent the transfer of Ukrainian troops to sectors.

On the Kupiansk axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Ivanivka, Kharkiv region.

The Lyman sector saw no enemy assaults in the past day.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two enemy attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Klishchiivka.

Along the Avdiivka line, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the enemy, who does not stop trying to besiege the town. Ukraine is holding the defense, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Over the past day, the Defense Forces have repelled eight Russian assaults near Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and another 16 – near Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

In the Marinka sector Ukraine’s forces continue to hold back the enemy near Marinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region, where nine assaults were repelled.

The invaders ran no assault missions in the Shakhtarske area.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy attacks west of Verbove, Robotyne, and south of Novodarivka.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers are working to expand their bridgehead on the eastern bank of the Dnipro. Despite suffering significant losses, the enemy does not stop trying to knock Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, the enemy has launched 18 unsuccessful assaults.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are actively inflicting losses on Russian manpower, depleting the invasion forces along the entire front line.

During the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force hit 19 manpower clusters and an air defense system, while missile units engaged four Russian clusters, two control posts, an ammunition depot, three artillery systems, a radar, and four air defense systems.
