War update: More than 25 combat clashes recorded at front in past day
“In the past 24 hours, 25 combat clashes have occurred,” the General Staff said.
Last night, the Russian Federation launched another missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. Information on the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified.
According to the General Staff, in the past day, the enemy launched one missile attack and 44 airstrikes, carried out 70 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Damage was caused to residential buildings and other civil infrastructure.
The threat of the enemy launching further missile attacks and airstrikes on Ukraine remains high.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy launched an air strike in the area of Kozacha Lopan of Kharkiv region, carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 20 settlements, including Sosnivka, Karpovychi of Chernihiv region, Seredyna-Buda, Volfyne, Romashkove, Shalyhyne, Nova Sloboda of Sumy region and Vovchansk, Khrypuny, Karaichne, Mala Vovcha, Bolohivka, Budarky of Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched an airstrike in Kotliarivka area of Kharkiv region. The settlements of Borova, Kupiansk, Kyslivka of Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in Novoyehorivka area of Luhansk region. Russians launched airstrikes in the districts of Cherneshchyna of Kharkiv region, Novoyehorivka and Bilohorivka of Luhansk region, Rai-Oleksandrivka of Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements came under artillery shelling, including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Tverdokhlibove of Luhansk region and Rozdolivka, Nykyforivka, Verkhniokamianske, Fedorivka of Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Bila Hora and New York of Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Minkivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Druzhba, Severne of Donetsk region, were came under enemy artillery fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy launched artillery and mortar attacks on the settlements of Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Severne, Orlivka, and Pervomaiske of Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Maryinka area of Donetsk region. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in Novomykhailivka area. Russians launched an airstrike in the area of Krasnohorivka. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, Maryinka, Kurakhove, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, Kostiantynivka, Antonivka of Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
In the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vuhledar and Staromaiorske of Donetsk region. The settlements of Vodiane, Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, and Urozhaine of Donetsk region were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Malaya Tokmachka, Orikhiv of Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Novodarivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Olhivske, Chervone, Charivne, Huliaipole, Lobkove, and Plavni of Zaporizhzhia region, came under enemy artillery shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in Mykolaivka and Olhivka districts of Kherson region, fired artillery and mortars at the settlements of Stanislav, Olhivka, Poniativka, Veletenske, Antonivka of Kherson region.
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, getting entrenched in the regained positions and carrying out counter-battery measures.
The Air Force of Ukraine launched 14 strikes on one enemy personnel cluster, as well as four strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems of the invaders.
For their part, Ukrainian missile and artillery forces struck one artillery unit in firing position and two radar stations of the enemy.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Forces of Ukraine from February 24, 2022 to August 31, 2023 eliminated about 263,020 Russian invaders, including 610 occupiers in the past day alone.
