War update: More than 40 combat engagements at front in past day

This is stated in the morning report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Over the past 24 hours, there were more than 40 combat engagements," the report reads.

Yesterday, the Russian Federation carried out another air and missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, using air-launched missiles and Iranian-made Shahed-136/131combat drones. As a result of successful combat operations by the air defense forces and means of the Air Force in cooperation with the air defense units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, 28 cruise missiles and 15 Shahed-136/131 combat UAVs were destroyed.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 31 missile strikes, 66 airstrikes, and 53 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured. Residential buildings and other civil infrastructure objects were destroyed.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Volfyne in Sumy region and Potykhonove in Kharkiv region. Mortars and artillery were fired at more than 25 settlements, in particular, Karpovychi, Semenivka in Chernihiv region; Stara Huta, Hudove, Obody, Khotin, Volodymyrivka, Popivka in Sumy region; Hatyshche, Vovchanski Khutory, Hryhorivka, Odradne, Dvorichanske in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy launched an air strike in the area of Kyslivka in Kharkiv region. The settlements of Masiutivka, Synkivka, Kucherivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region were hit with enemy artillery and mortars.

In Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Novoyehorivka and Bilohorivka. Airstrikes were launched in the areas of Nadiya, Tverdokhlibove, Novoyehorivka, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Serebrianka, Spirne in Donetsk region. The settlements of Kreminna in Luhansk region; Kuzmyne, Torske, Lyman in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Klishchiyivka and Kurdiumivka. Airstrikes were launched near Klishchiyivka and Andriyivka in Donetsk region. More than 20 settlements, including Zaliznianske, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Shcherbynivka in Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy launched artillery and mortar attacks on Keramik, Orlivka, Avdiyivka, Pervomayske, and Nevelske settlements in Donetsk region.

In Marinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Marinka in Donetsk region. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, Antonivka, Novomykhailivka, and Vodiane in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Shakhtarske direction, our defenders successfully repelled Russian attacks in the area of Staromayorske in Donetsk region. The enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Vuhledar and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk region. Such Novoukrayinka, Shakhtarske, Blahodatne, Neskuchne, Urozhayne, Novopil in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations near Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region. Airstrikes were launched in the areas of Novodarivka, Verbove, Mala Tokmachka, and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy struck with artillery more than 30 settlements, including Temyrivka, Chervone, Huliaypilske, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamyanske, Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region.

In Kherson direction, more than 25 settlements came under enemy artillery fire, including Mykhaylivka, Novoberyslav, Mykolayivka, Tokarivka, Dniprovske, and Stanislav in Kherson region.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct the offensive operation in Melitopol direction, gain a foothold one the achieved boundaries, and carry out counter-battery fight.

Over the past 24 hours, the aviation of the defense forces launched 10 strikes on enemy personnel clusters and four strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile and artillery units hit an enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment cluster, a command post, and an EW station.
