War update: Thirty-two combat engagements at front in past day

This is stated in the morning report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct the offensive operation in Melitopol direction, gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries, and carry out counter-battery fight. Over the past day, 32 combat engagements took place. Missile and artillery units hit two enemy command posts, an air defense system, and two artillery systems on firing positions," the report reads.

Over the past day, the enemy launched eight missile strikes, 47 airstrikes, and 39 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements.

“As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured. Residential buildings, schools, and other civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed,” the General Staff informs.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Popivka and Slavhorod in Sumy region; Veterynarne in Kharkiv region. Mortars and artillery were fired at more than 25 settlements, in particular, Karpovychi, Kamin in Chernihiv region; Volfyne, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Obody, Seredyna-Buda, Novodmytrivka, Popivka, Stukalivka in Sumy region; Mala Vovcha, Zybine, Okhrymivka, Vilkhuvatka, Veterynarne in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy carried out air strikes near Ivanivka and Kyslivka in Kharkiv region. The settlements of Kyslivka, Kolodiazne, and Berestove in Kharkiv region were hit with artillery and mortars.

In Lyman direction, the Russian invaders launched airstrikes near Novoyehorivka, Tverdokhlibove, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Spirne in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under enemy artillery fire, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Verkhniokamyanske, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.

In Bakhmut direction, the aggressor launched airstrikes in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiyivka, New York in Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Pryvillia, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Toretsk, Druzhba in Donetsk region, were hit with enemy artillery.

In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy launched an air strike in the area of Avdiyivka. Oleksandropil, Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Sieverne, Pervomayske in Donetsk region were shelled with artillery and mortars.

In Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Maryinka, Donetsk region. The aggressor launched an airstrike in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhaylivka, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vodiane, Novosilka, Blahodatne in Donetsk region. Such settlements as Vuhledar, Vodiane, Maksymivka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, and Urozhayne in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the invaders launched airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region. More than 25 settlements came under artillery fire, including Novodarivka, Poltavka, Huliaypilske, Pyatykhatky, Charivne, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamyanske, Plavni in Zaporizhzhia region.

In Kherson direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Mykolayivka and Olhivka in Kherson region. Kherson, Sadove, Stanislav in Kherson region; Ochakiv in Mykolayiv region were hit with artillery.

The Russian occupiers continue the forced passportization of people in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. In the settlement of Chaplynka, the occupation administration demanded that local residents must obtain Russian passports by September 1 of this year. If this requirement is not met, the occupiers threaten to confiscate the real estate. Also, since August 23 of this year, the occupiers have been carrying out raids to evict citizens from their homes if their place of residence is not registered and to appropriate their property.
