Police show aftermath of Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia region

The police have documented the consequences of 85 Russian attacks, which took place in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The relevant statement was made by Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“All war crimes were documented by law enforcement officers. The investigators from the police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Part 1, Part 2 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the report states.

Over the past day, Russian troops have been shelling 26 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia, Polohy and Vasylivka districts. One civilian man was killed in Russia’s multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) attack on the village of Mala Tokmachka. Another man was reported injured.

On August 25, 2023, Russian invaders used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), MLRS, artillery and aircraft. In the past 24 hours, the police have received 41 reports on the damage caused by Russian attacks.

The following settlements were affected by Russian shelling: Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Stepnohirsk, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Temyrivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novoandriivka, Novodarivka, Levadne, Chervone, Olhivske, Novodanylivka, Bilohiria, Yablukove, Preobrazhenka, Charivne, Verkhnia Tersa, Staroukrainka, Kamianske, Stepove, Lobkove and Mali Shcherbaky.
