Russians injure 1,116 children in Ukraine

Russian invaders killed 503 children in Ukraine and injured 1,116 children.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this in a statement on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"More than 1,619 children have been injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. As of the morning of August 25, 2023, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 503 children were killed and more than 1,116 were injured of varying severity," the statement said.

The numbers are not final. Work is underway to establish them in the areas of hostilities, on the temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the Office of the Prosecutor General emphasized.

Most children were injured in the Donetsk region - 485, Kharkiv - 299, Kyiv - 129, Kherson - 122, Zaporizhzhia - 99, Mykolaiv - 97, Dnipro - 95, Chernihiv - 71, Luhansk - 67.

On August 24, a 6-year-old girl was injured as a result of hostile shelling in Kherson.

As reported, on August 24, Russian troops shelled the center of Kherson, a child was among the injured.
