General Staff: 30 combat engagements occurred at front in past day

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Aircraft of the Defense Forces launched six strikes on enemy personnel clusters in the past day. Units of missile and artillery forces struck four Russian command posts, one manpower, weapons, and equipment cluster, and three artillery units in firing positions,” the report says.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, getting entrenched in the regained positions and carrying out counter-battery measures.

According to the General Staff, in the past 24 hours, the enemy launched two missile attacks and more than 43 airstrikes, carried out 45 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population, as well as damage to residential buildings and other infrastructure.

The threat of the enemy launching further missile attacks and airstrikes on Ukraine remains high.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the aggressor launched mortar and artillery attacks on more than 20 settlements, including Kliusy, Bleshnia, Karpovychi, Chernihiv region; Sydorivka, Volfyne, Krasnopillia, Hrabovske of Sumy region; Chervona Zoria, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Strelecha of Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk sector, the settlements of Dvorichna, Synkivka, Kyslivka, Berestove of Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Tverdokhlibove, Torske, Bilohorivka, and Serebrianskyi Forestry of Luhansk region. About 15 settlements, including Karmazynivka, Nevske, Kreminna, Bilohorivka of Luhansk region and Rozdolivka, Spirne of Donetsk region, came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut sector, the aggressor conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. They launched an airstrike on the areas of Vesele, Pryvillia and Kurdiumivka of Donetsk region. More than 20 settlements came under enemy artillery shelling, including Pryvillia, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, and Klishchiivka of Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, under heavy fire from the enemy's aircraft and artillery, Ukrainian defenders continue to restrain the advance of Russian troops. The settlements of Oleksandropil, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Maryinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back Russian troops in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched airstrikes on the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka. The settlements of Zhelanne Druhe, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Yelyzavetivka, and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

In the Shakhtarske direction, the enemy launched an airstrike on the area of Staromayorsk, Donetsk region. Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, and Urozhaine of Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, Russian troops launched airstrikes on the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne of Zaporizhzhia region. More than 30 settlements, including Huliaipilske, Charivne, Yehorivka, Stepove, Lobkove, Piatykhatky of Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy launched airstrikes on the areas of Tomaryne, Dachi, and Zymivnyk of Kherson region. More than 25 settlements came under enemy artillery shelling, including Novovorontsovka, Zolota Balka, Mykilske, Kherson, Kizomys, Sofiyivka of Kherson region and Ochakiv, Solonchaky of Mykolaiv region.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have already eliminated almost 280,000 Russian invaders.
