
Russian army shells five districts in Kharkiv region, two women injured in Balaklia
Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Over the past day, the enemy shelled populated areas of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Izium districts with artillery and mortars and using aircraft. In particular, Udy, Pylna, Vovchansk, Budarky, Balaklia and other settlements came under attacks by the Russian occupiers," Syniehubov wrote.
According to the updated information, a 65-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized after the enemy shelling of Balaklia with cluster munitions. Doctors rated her condition as moderate. Later, a 73-year-old woman with a shrapnel wound applied for medical assistance, she is being treated on an outpatient basis. In the city, four residential buildings, an outbuilding, a power line and a railway track were damaged.
Syniehubov added that in the village of Bohodarove, Izium district, a tractor drove over a mine during field works. There were no casualties.
Demining continues in Kharkiv region. Over the past day, the State Emergency Service inspected more than nine hectares of territory and neutralized 66 explosives.
As reported by Ukrinform, the day before the Russian army struck the city of Balaklia, Kharkiv region. Four people were injured as a result of the shelling.
