
Number of children injured by Russian soldiers in Ukraine rises to 1,035
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
It said more than 1,529 children had been killed or injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression as of July 1. According to juvenile prosecutors, 494 children were killed and at least 1,035 injured.
The figures are not final as work is underway to establish them in areas of hostilities and temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
A total of 472 children were killed or injured in the Donetsk region, 284 in the Kharkiv region, 129 in the Kyiv region, 113 in the Kherson region, 91 in the Zaporizhzhia region, 89 in the Mykolaiv region, 83 in the Dnipropetrovsk region, 71 in the Chernihiv region, and 67 in the Luhansk region.
On June 30, a six-year-old boy was injured by enemy shelling in the village of Antonivka, Kherson region.
On the same day, a 17-year-old boy was injured by Russian shelling in the village of Kostiantynivka, Sumy region.
