Defense forces hit 17 Russian artillery units, three command posts, air defense system
This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
"During the day, missile and artillery units hit three enemy command posts, one personnel and military equipment cluster, three EW stations, 17 artillery units on firing positions, one air defense system, and one more important object of the enemy," reads the report.
During the day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched eight airstrikes on Russian personnel concentration areas and two more on anti-aircraft missile systems. Also, Ukrainian defenders destroyed three reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the General Staff data, the enemy continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Maryinka directions – 35 combat engagements took place during the day.
In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the Russians maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. Russian troops launched airstrikes on Yanzhulivka and Leonivka, Chernihiv region. Mortars and artillery were fired at Halahanivka, Karpovychi in Chernihiv region; Kindrativka, Bruskiv, Basivka, Loknia, Yunakivka, Bachivsk, Stepne in Sumy region; Ivashky, Rozhkovychi, Huryiv Kozachok, Udy, Maryino, Vysoka Yaruha, Morokhovets, Ternova, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Budarky, Ustynivka, Chuhunivka, Ambarne, Hryhorivka, Kharkiv region.
In Kupyansk direction, Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In Lyman direction, Russian troops carried out offensive operations in the direction of Kreminna – Yampolivka. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.
In Bakhmut direction, the Russians carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Donetsk region. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Bila Hora, Kostiantynivka, Druzhba, Pivnichne in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.
In Avdiyivka direction, the aggressor launched airstrikes near Avdiyivka and Sieverne and conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Avdiyivka. Artillery was fired at Avdiyivka, Pervomayske, and Nevelske in Donetsk region.
In Maryinka direction, the enemy launched an airstrike in the area of Maryinka. At the same time, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka, and Pobieda in Donetsk region were shelled with artillery.
In Shakhtarske direction, the Russians carried out offensive operations in the direction of Novomykhaylivka, had no success. In addition, the enemy shelled the settlements of Hostre, Paraskoviyivka, and Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk region.
In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the aggressor continues to hold the defense. The enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Storozheve, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Makarivka in Donetsk region and Zaporizhzhia city.
The Russians also fired artillery at the settlements of Blahodatne, Neskuchne, Makarivka, Storozheve, Vremivka, Zelene Pole, Novopil in Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Levadne, Chervone, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Novoandriyivka, Stepove, Pyatykhatky, Lobkove, Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Zolota Balka, Mykhaylivka, Novoaleksandrivka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Shliakhove, Kozatske, Mykolayivka, Burhunka, Ivanivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Naddniprianske, Molodizhne, Zymivnyk, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Kherson, Dniprovske, Kizomys in Kherson region; Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region; Ochakiv in Mykolayiv region.
According to the General Staff data, the Russian aggressors set additional checkpoints and filtration points in populated settlements in the temporarily captured territory of Zaporizhzhia region. All civilians leaving the south of Ukraine, temporarily occupied by the enemy, have to pass through filtration points located in Manhush and Novoazovsk in Donetsk region. During filtration measures, citizens' belongings and documents are carefully checked, and fingerprints are taken.
