Seven injured as Russians attack Nikopol district with Grad MLRS, heavy artillery

On the afternoon of May 6, 2023, Russian troops attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Nikopol district eight times. Seven civilians were reported injured.

The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Head Mykola Lukashuk on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, Russian invaders shelled the city of Nikopol with the Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and heavy artillery. Five men, aged 44 to 60, were injured. Four of them were taken to hospital.

A total of 14 detached houses and 13 household buildings were damaged in the city of Nikopol, as well as gas pipelines and an industrial enterprise. One more building that is out of service was also affected.

Additionally, the enemy struck the Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovske communities with heavy artillery.

In the Pokrovske community, a 63-year-old woman was injured and taken to hospital. Five detached houses, power grids, a household building and a lyceum were damaged.

On the evening of May 6, 2023, Russian occupiers again opened fire on the Myrove community with the Grad MLRS. According to the preliminary data, a 43-year-old man was injured. Two residential houses were seriously damaged, as well as a household building and a car. The details are yet to be updated.
