Russia's army has intensified operations across virtually the entire front and is regrouping forces. In particular, the enemy has concentrated around 106,000 troops in the Pokrovsk direction.

According to Ukrinform, Syrskyi wrote this on Facebook.

"The situation along the line of combat contact remains difficult. The enemy has intensified offensive operations across virtually the entire front and is regrouping troops. The most tense area at present is the Pokrovsk direction, where the Russian aggressor has concentrated about 106,000 personnel. Enemy activity also remains high in the Ocheretyne, Oleksandrivka, Kupiansk, and Kostiantynivka directions, as well as in sectors along the state border with Russia," Syrskyi wrote.

He noted that under favorable conditions Ukraine's Defense Forces are conducting active operations and, despite constant enemy pressure, continue carrying out missions on Russian territory as well.

"Our presence in the Kursk region is being maintained. The key to success lies precisely in active defense and battlefield initiative. This makes it possible to wear down the enemy, regain positions, and inflict maximum losses on Russian forces," the commander-in-chief stated.

According to Syrskyi, the Russian army loses at least 1,000 personnel killed and wounded every day.

Over the course of a month, combined fire support units carried out more than 64,900 fire missions. In April, Ukrainian artillery struck 8,500 enemy targets, while missile units conducted 74 strikes against Russian forces. Priority targets remain oil refining and fuel transportation facilities, special chemical and gunpowder production plants, and other enterprises of Russia's military-industrial complex.

"In April alone, Deep Strike assets hit 84 targets deep inside enemy territory. This is the result of high-quality coordination and cooperation among all components of Ukraine's Defense Forces," Syrskyi said.

He also noted that the volume of international military-technical assistance increased in April. At the same time, Ukraine's own capabilities remain decisive — especially in repairing, restoring, and returning equipment to service.

As Ukrinform previously reported, according to the General Staff, the Russian army has attacked Ukrainian Defense Forces positions 52 times since the beginning of the day, concentrating its main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction.
