General Staff confirms strikes on Russian arsenal, two plants producing explosives and FAB bombs
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff reported this on Facebook.
"Measures aimed at reducing the Russian Federation's capability to wage armed aggression against Ukraine are ongoing," the statement said.
The General Staff confirmed that on April 30, 2026, production buildings of the Ya.M. Sverdlov Plant in Dzerzhinsk were struck.
The Ya.M. Sverdlov Plant is one of Russia's largest manufacturers of explosives. The enterprise equips virtually all types of ammunition, including aerial and artillery shells, warheads for anti-tank guided missiles, and munitions for engineering troops. Among other things, the plant fills high-explosive aerial bombs (FABs), which Russia later uses to produce guided aerial bombs (KABs).
The General Staff also confirmed strikes on April 25, 2026, against buildings on the territory of the "Kedrovka" arsenal of the Russian Defense Ministry's Main Missile and Artillery Directorate in Kedrovka, Sverdlovsk region.
In addition, Ukraine confirmed strikes in May 2026 against infrastructure at the Bryansk Chemical Plant in the city of Seltso, Bryansk region. The facility is described as an important part of Russia's military-industrial complex and one of the supply links providing ammunition to the Russian occupying army.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck an oil industry facility in Yaroslavl, Russia, located 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
