Vyhivskyi: 165 people killed in Russian drone attacks on railway infrastructure

According to Ukrinform, Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ivan Vyhivskyi announced this during the conference "United for Justice. Accountability for Crimes Against Civilians."

"Since the start of the invasion, 920 people have been affected by such attacks, including 67 children. A total of 165 people have been killed, most of them civilians and railway workers," he said.

According to Vyhivskyi, 552 attacks on railway infrastructure facilities have been recorded during martial law, with half of them occurring this year.

The enemy used 1,500 drones in these attacks, damaging 158 railway facilities.

The head of the National Police noted that the trend indicates the enemy is targeting railways in order to disrupt Ukrainian logistics and the movement of civilians.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Russia has intensified attacks on railway infrastructure, with rolling stock among the primary targets. During the first days of March alone, 41 facilities were damaged.
