In Kherson region, invaders abduct Chornobaivka community chief, his deputy

In Ukraine’s sountern Kherson region, Russian invaders abducted the head of the Chornobaivka Territorial Community and his deputy.

This was announced on Facebook by Deputy Chairman of the Kherson District Council Stanislav Troshyn, Ukrinform reports.

"The chairman and deputy chairman of the legendary Chornobayivka Territorial Community in Kherson district have been abducted. With both, we had been in constant contact in the efforts to restore electricity supply to the residential buildings affected in strikes," Troshyn said.

According to the official, the fate remains unclear of Hola Prystan Mayor Oleksandr Babych, Novokakhovka City Council Deputy Ihor Protokovyl, and many activists, mayors, deputies, and heads of territorial communities.

In turn, the wife of the deputy head of the Chornobaivka TC said on Facebook that on May 2, her husband Yevgeny Rodionov was taken prisoner by the Russian military. His whereabouts remain unknown.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian invaders are abducting civilians in Kherson region, including journalists, community leaders, deputies, activists, and servicemen that had taken part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas. The International Committee of the Red Cross calls for the deployment of its representatives to provide humanitarian assistance to civilians illegally held in Kherson region, locate and release them as soon as possible.

Specialists of the Ministry of Digital Transformation have created a secure chatbot, aimed to help establish the fate of the missing residents.
