Government allocates nearly UAH 2B for 180 frontline communities – Kuleba
Vice Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, announced this during a government Q&A session in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrinform reports, citing the ministry's press service.
"In 2025, subsidies for local budgets will amount to UAH 36.5 billion. Additionally, the government has allocated nearly UAH 2 billion for 180 communities in nine regions—settlements situated on the border or frontline. We are continuously seeking opportunities for further support," Kuleba stated.
He specified that the earmarked funds are already being directed toward recovery efforts following shelling, construction of shelters, acquisition of utility equipment, and repairs to heating and gas networks.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, a key area of focus is supporting military logistics.
To this end, the government has allocated UAH 5.2 billion for the repair and maintenance of evacuation routes and roads essential to the Armed Forces and medical infrastructure. The list of targeted facilities was compiled in coordination with the General Staff, based on military requests.
"Today, Ukraine is gaining invaluable experience in real time. Reconstruction is taking place under fire," the official emphasized.
As previously reported, in 2025, the State Fund for Regional Development received UAH 1 billion—the first funding since the beginning of the full-scale invasion
