The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is launching the portal “MIA: Your Support” for veterans, wounded military personnel, those released from captivity, and their families.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that the portal “MIA: Your Support” is a single information resource created to provide access to information about the full list of services available to veterans, wounded military personnel, and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, those released from captivity, and their families.

"The portal contains comprehensive information and functionality aimed at meeting a wide range of needs of the target audience, namely treatment, rehabilitation, prosthetics, cash payments, social support, psychological support, education, employment, pensions, adaptive sports, a database of reports and applications, search for missing persons, driving schools for persons with disabilities, as well as an entry point to the electronic social protection office," the statement said.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that veteran policy is one of its priority areas of activity. The focus is on supporting those who have gone through war defending the state and are now returning to a peaceful life.

The ministry is implementing several initiatives that cover medical, psychological, social, and professional support for former combatants, as well as their employment in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.

“Understanding the value of service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs strives not only to honor heroes, but also to help them return to a full life every day,” the ministry added.

As reported by Ukrinform, Dmytro Finashyn, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs on veteran policy, said that each unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system will have a specialist in veteran policy.
