Over 240 National Guardsmen have received housing from state

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the National Guard of Ukraine.

The National Guard is also actively working on the construction of service apartments and family-type dormitories.

“This is part of a strategic course to strengthen the Defense Forces not only in the frontline but also in the social dimension. Service housing and dormitories are something we are working on in military units as well. For everyone who is currently defending the country at the front or performing combat missions in the rear, confidence in the well-being of their family is no less important than the weapons in their hands,” the NGU emphasized.

The National Guard noted that amid a full-scale war, the housing issue for servicemen is coming to the fore. Apartments received from the state are not only a social guarantee, but also an effective mechanism for increasing motivation and retaining combat-ready personnel.

The journalists visited the homes of several families of the guardsmen who have recently moved to new apartments. They shared their stories: about the path to their dream home, their everyday life, and how having their own home affects their peace of mind and their desire to continue serving.

“This is a new stage in life. When you know that your family has a roof over their heads, you can go on missions more calmly. This is real support from the state,” said one of the National Guardsmen.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine purchased 36 apartments for servicemen in the first quarter of 2025 for about UAH 104 million.
