As of today, a record number of citizens are speaking the Ukrainian language.

State Language Protection Commissioner Taras Kremin reported this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“Today, according to many studies, we are seeing a record number of citizens who speak Ukrainian both in official communication and in everyday life, both within Ukraine and abroad,” said Kremin.

He emphasized that the full-scale invasion has shown that Ukrainians' rejection of the Russian language is not just a linguistic choice, but a deeply rooted decision — a rejection of the language of the aggressor country.
