Ukrainian mobile networks and internet services have been shut down in the temporarily occupied cities of Zaporizhia region.

This was reported by the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform wrote.

"Access to the internet and mobile networks in Berdiansk and Melitopol districts has been significantly complicated. The occupiers are trying to switch the area to Russian operators,” the officials said.

According to the Berdiansk City Council Executive Committee, currently only Ukrtelecom's landline numbers operate in the city.

The officials noted that the locals could try to switch on the national roaming option, which allows switching between mobile operators and looking for ones that operate.

Ukraine's largest mobile operators, with the government’s assistance, have earlier launched a “national roaming” service that will allow citizens switching between operators in the event of communication issues.

On February 24, Russian President Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and bombing key infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages, using artillery, rockets, and missiles.
