Despite the conditional "silence regime", which was agreed on Sunday only in the settlement of Rubizhne, 500 civilians were evacuated across Luhansk region.

This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Serhiy Haidai, according to Ukrinform.

"Today, the ‘silence mode’ was agreed only in Rubizhne, but together with the patrol police, the State Emergency Service, and volunteers, we were able to evacuate more than 500 residents of Luhansk region," Haidai wrote.

According to the official, the most important thing is that some Rubizhne residents were successfully evacuated from remote areas.

"Some 130 citizens who came to the railway station by bus and 25 by their own transport have already boarded the train. These people had been sheltering in the basements of the local bakery and School No. 5 after their homes were destroyed by the Russians. At the same time, the wounded residents of Rubizhne were taken to hospitals. At one of the intersections, an evacuation bus barely passed an enemy IFV. An effort from Popasna was also a success as 20 people were evacuated, as well as 218 from Sievierodonetsk and 120 from Lysychansk," Haidai said.

He stressed that the shelling has not subsided along the entire Luhansk front line. The battles for Rubizhne continue and the enemy advance sees no progress.

Those who remained in the cities for various reasons received several tonnes of humanitarian aid – food, essentials, and medicine. Police and volunteers are already delivering aid to bomb shelters.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, as of today, March 27, two humanitarian corridors have been agreed for Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In Luhansk region – from the town of Rubizhne to the town of Bakhmut.
