First case of coronavirus in Ukraine to be investigated jointly with Romania

Director General of the Public Health Center of the Ukrainian Health Ministry Ihor Kuzin said this at a briefing on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"An epidemic investigation is currently being conducted into the case that we registered in Chernivtsi. We also briefed a contact person in Romania in charge of international health rules so that all contact persons on board the aircraft could be identified. With the support of the contact person in Romania, we will also be able to conduct a joint investigation with this country's experts," Kuzin said.

A resident of Chernivtsi, who traveled to Italy and returned to Ukraine via Romania, was confirmed infected with the novel coronavirus. He was hospitalized, his condition is satisfactory. His wife was also isolated.
