Monument to soldiers fallen for Ukraine open in Mariupol

A monument to the soldiers who gave their lives for the independence of Ukraine was opened in Mariupol.

"A ceremony of opening a monument to the soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine has been held. Representatives of the city council, the National Guard, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as the clergy, took part in the solemn event," the Mariupol City Council announced on Thursday.

The memory of the soldiers was honored with a minute of silence. Servicemen and representatives of the city law enforcement agencies and public organizations laid wreaths and flowers to the memorial sign.
