Zelensky says he received no requests from Starmer about Ukrainian experts for Iranian drones
Zelensky stated this while speaking with journalists, responding to a question about whether such a request had been made directly from the UK to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
"I have not received any direct requests. Neither from the UK – from any partners – nor from representatives of the Middle East. I have not discussed this with anyone," he assured.
Commenting on the experience of Ukrainian drone and air defense operators, he noted that Ukraine has "very experienced people."
"We are ready to share this information; let our partners come to us, and we can continue this. You know very well that at the beginning of this war we sent our soldiers to nearby countries, to countries with which we have good-neighborly relations, to partner countries," Zelensky said.
He recalled that these Ukrainian soldiers trained in various countries – in Germany, the UK, and the United States.
"And we are open to sharing our experience and technologies, etc. But honestly, my priority is clear – this morning I had a video conference where we discussed how to best defend Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Kyiv. We have many different challenges. I know what I need to focus on and what my priorities are as President of Ukraine," he stated.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the United Kingdom would involve Ukrainian experts who, together with British specialists, would help Gulf countries more effectively shoot down Iranian drones.
