President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that in order to guarantee security in Ukraine and Europe, transatlantic unity is essential.

He stated this during an online address to the European Parliament on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion, Ukrinform reports.

"Today we must be just as determined and strong as we were when the invasion began. The threat has not become smaller. Yes, we are holding Russia back, but we have not yet guaranteed security. And only together can we do this, together in Europe, together with America. Of course, we all understand that this is not an easy task to maintain transatlantic unity and cooperation in the current conditions. But I am grateful to everyone who, despite all the challenges, continues to preserve this globally important link between Europe and America, and between all the world's democracies," Zelensky noted.

In this context, he mentioned the special role of the Coalition of the Willing, which has already united European states, the United States, Canada, and Japan.

"Please help to give real substance to the work of the Coalition of the Willing and truly be willing to end this war," he urged, thanking every country participating in the Coalition.

As reported, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and the Ukraine – Nordic and Baltic Countries summit will take place in Kyiv today.

On January 6 in Paris, following a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, the Presidents of Ukraine and France, Volodymyr Zelensky and Emmanuel Macron, as well as UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, signed a Declaration of Intent on the deployment of multinational forces.
