NABU, SAPO expose head of parliamentary faction in attempt to bribe MPs

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have exposed the head of one of the parliamentary factions for attempting to bribe members of parliament in exchange for "correct" voting either "for" or "against" specific draft laws.
NABU stated this on its Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.
"NABU and SAPO have exposed the head of one of the deputy factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for offering unlawful benefits to a number of MPs belonging to factions not headed by this person, in exchange for voting 'for' or 'against' specific draft laws," the statement reads.
According to law enforcement officials, these actions fall under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
NABU said that further details will be provided later.
As Ukrinform previously reported, a court kept Shufrych in custody, setting bail at UAH 33 million.
