President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he will soon be ready to submit to the US a document on peace efforts that has been finalized by Ukrainian and European teams.

The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"We are working very actively on all components of possible steps to end the war. The Ukrainian and European components have already been worked out, and we are ready to present them to our partners in America. Together with the American side, we hope to make the possible steps as effective as possible as soon as possible," Zelensky said.

He stressed that Ukraine is interested in genuine peace and is in constant contact with America. “And as our partners in the negotiating teams rightly point out, everything depends on whether Russia is ready to take effective steps to stop the bloodshed and prevent the war from reigniting. We will be ready to send the finalized documents to the United States in the near future,” the President emphasized.

He made these statements following today's discussion with the Ukrainian negotiating team on the results of its work in London on the eve of the meeting of European partners' national security advisers.

As reported, yesterday, December 8, Zelensky told reporters that the leaders' national security advisors (NSAs) would remain in London to work on the latest version of the peace plan brought from the US by the head of the Ukrainian delegation, Rustem Umerov. Yesterday, the president acknowledged that a compromise on territorial issues in this peace plan has not yet been found.

On December 8, talks were held at the residence of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer with the participation of Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The main topic of the talks was diplomatic efforts focused on the US-proposed peace plan and potential “stumbling blocks.”
