The “White Angel” police unit has once again evacuated a family with two children from Lyman in the Donetsk region, including a seriously injured 17-year-old boy.

The regional police reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“A family with two children was evacuated from Lyman for a second time. The ‘White Angel’ police had already evacuated this family back in 2024, but within a few weeks, the family found their way home via detours. This cost the young man his arm,” the report states.

It is noted that the seriously injured child—a 17-year-old boy—was evacuated by the military and is currently in a hospital in Dnipro.

“My son went across the road to get a log to prop up the wall; our wall is collapsing. He didn’t see the drone—it was lying in wait or something. He bent down for the log, and it exploded,” his mother said.

According to police, the mother, the 12-year-old sister, and their neighbor were evacuated on the second flight. The family is currently in a shelter under the care of juvenile police and social services, receiving all necessary assistance, and will soon be reunited with their son.

As reported by the regional police on Telegram, there are currently still about 1,900 civilians remaining in the enemy-bombed city of Lyman in the Donetsk region.

“The situation in the city is critical: the enemy is mercilessly bombing the city, drone swarms are hunting civilians in residential neighborhoods, and there are no communications. Despite the mortal danger, about 1,900 residents remain in Lyman,” the post states.
