Poland’s FM Sikorski arrives in Kyiv
According to Ukrinform, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the visit in a post on social media platform X.
“Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski has begun his visit to Ukraine,” the ministry stated.
Sikorski was welcomed at the railway station by his Ukrainian counterpart, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.
Sybiha wrote on X that he was glad to meet Sikorski as well as American writer and Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Applebaum at Kyiv’s railway station.
“Against the backdrop of Russia’s escalation of terror against Ukraine and provocations against Poland, we stand firmly together. We will hold substantial talks today about our shared security, Ukraine’s EU and NATO accession, and pressure on Moscow,” Sybiha noted.
He also thanked Poland for its leadership and steadfast support.
As reported by Ukrinform, on September 11, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and his wife, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, also visited Ukraine.
