She wrote about this on social media X, according to Ukrinform.
“Last night in Poland, we saw the most serious European airspace violation by Russia since the war began, and indications suggest it was intentional, not accidental. I am in contact with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski,” Kallas said.
She stressed: “Russia’s war is escalating, not ending. We must raise the cost on Moscow, strengthen support for Ukraine, and invest in Europe’s defence. The EU plays a major role and we will support initiatives like the Eastern Border Shield defence line.”
Kallas added that the EU is “in full solidarity” with Poland.
As reported by Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that during a massive night attack, Russia launched about 415 drones of various types and more than 40 cruise and ballistic missiles at Ukraine, with 15 regions under attack.
Air defense forces destroyed 386 drones and 27 missiles.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the military opened fire on “objects” that violated Polish airspace on the night of September 10.
The Polish Armed Forces declared Russia's attack on Ukraine an act of aggression that poses a real threat to their security and reported that several drones that violated their airspace had been shot down.
