In response to Vladimir Putin's statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine suggested introducing a temporary United Nations administration in Russia.

The ministry's spokesperson, Heorhii Tykhyi, said this in a post on the social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

"Counter-offer: temporary UN governance in Russia, starting with Vorkuta. It seems that locals would benefit greatly from any governance other than Putin, who spends billions of dollars on his criminal war against Ukraine," Tykhyi said.
