At the next meeting, the Verkhovna Rada will hear at first reading the draft law on the restoration of electronic declarations of assets.

That’s according to Yevheniia Kravchuk, Deputy Chair of the ruling Servant of the People parliamentary faction, who gave an exclusive comment to Ukrinform.

"Most likely, a new version of the draft law on the restoration of electronic declarations of assets will soon be tabled in ad hoc mode. It will be put to a vote at the next session of our parliament. The basis for adoption should be the text agreed by the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Finance," said Kravchuk.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, at the outset of the full-scale war, the Verkhovna Rada suspended the process of mandatory declaration of assets by government officials, allowing them to submit data on their wealth once martial law is lifted. At the same time, the National Agency on Corruption Prevention allowed voluntary submission of such asset reports.

Currently, BillNo. 8071, which restores the submission and verification of e-declarations, is under consideration in parliament. The Ministry of Justice has drafted its version of the law. The government project was criticized by anti-corruption organizations and civil society.

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk earlier called on MPs to support the draft law on resuming submission of electronic declarations of assets.
