U.S. President Joe Biden has expressed support for the position that NATO is preparing in a communiqué on Euro-Atlantic prospects for Ukraine.

President of the U.S. Joe Biden said this on Tuesday during a joint speech with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We agree on the language that you propose relative to the future of Ukraine being able to join NATO. And we're looking for a continued united NATO," the U.S. President said.

He also supported Jens Stoltenberg's efforts in his position, emphasizing the importance of his continued leadership of the Alliance: "You're trusted; no one knows the situation that we're facing better than you do. And this is a historic moment".

Before that, Stoltenberg expressed confidence that the Summit would send a "positive and strong message" regarding the process of Ukraine's membership in the Alliance. However, he did not elaborate, adding that everyone will see this as soon as the joint work on the summit communiqué is completed.

As Ukrinform reported, on Tuesday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that the wording of the terms of invitation (not even membership) to NATO is being discussed in Vilnius without Ukraine.
