Norway to allocate $44 mln to procure arms for Ukraine

Norway will allocate 400 million crowns ($43.7 million) to a British-led initiative for buying weapons for Ukraine.

That’s according to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere, Ukrinform reported citing Reuters.

Norway may also make additional direct shipments of weapons to Ukraine on top of those it has already made, Jonas Gahr Stoere told parliament.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, massively shelling residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages, using artillery, MLR systems, ballistic missiles, and air bombs.
