U.S., EU stand united in support for Ukraine - Blinken

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said that the United States and the EU stand united in support for Ukraine.
"I met with [EU foreign policy chief] Josep Borrell to discuss our excellent cooperation and Russia's dangerous military build-up. The U.S. and EU stand united in support for Ukraine and will impose high costs on Russia should it choose military escalation," Blinken tweeted.
The U.S. and Russian presidents on December 7 held a two-hour video conference to discuss security issues, including Russia's military build-up along Ukraine's borders.
According to the White House, U.S. President Joe Biden reaffirmed his support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and called on Moscow to de-escalate the situation.
