Fragments from UAV damage kindergarten in Cherkasy region

In the Zolotonosha district of Cherkasy region, on the afternoon of May 1, during an air raid alert, debris from a Russian drone and the blast wave damaged a kindergarten.

According to Ukrinform, Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

“In the Zolotonosha district, a kindergarten was damaged by UAV debris and a blast wave,” Taburets said.

He noted that the windows in the kindergarten were shattered. No one was injured; the children and staff were in a shelter.

In addition, according to preliminary information, three private homes were also damaged. The assessment is ongoing.

The head of the regional military administration emphasized that enemy targets are still being detected in the airspace over the Cherkasy region, so the alert remains in effect. Air defense systems are operating in the region.

As reported by Ukrinform, residential buildings and vehicles were damaged in the Cherkasy region on April 4 during an attack by the Russian Federation.
