Shmyhal: Adaptive quarantine effective, no need to introduce full lockdown

Ukrinform
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that the model of adaptive quarantine is effective, so there is no need to introduce full lockdown throughout the country.

"As we see, the model of adaptive quarantine is effective. As we have earlier stressed: it makes no sense to impose a total lockdown throughout the country. Local authorities must continue to respond correspondingly to the situation in their regions, and we all should not relax, but follow anti-epidemic rules,” Shmyhal said at a government’s meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He stressed that the situation in some regions remains tense. However, some regions reports a decrease in the number of new COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine recorded 14,553 new coronavirus on April 13.
