Government approves Ukraine-NATO annual national program
“The Government has endorsed the new-quality Ukraine-NATO annual national program. For the first time, the program focuses on human rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests. This is the kind of human-centric approach the North Atlantic Alliance upholds,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk posted on Telegram.
According to him, the document was elaborated according to the Results-Based Management international technique. This technique is used in the preparation of similar strategic documents in NATO member states, the World Bank and the UN.
Honcharuk noted that the annual national program covers security and defense reforms and democratic changes in the country. Its content and principles match as closely as possible the NATO Membership Action Plan and have a similar structure.
"The ANP 2020 is a key tool for Ukraine's integration into NATO," the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.
