The interlocutors discussed the current state and prospects of development of Ukrainian-German relations.
The Ukrainian president expressed gratitude for Germany’s consistent support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, for its comprehensive assistance in implementing structural reforms in our country, as well as for promoting initiatives to restore the damaged Donetsk infrastructure.
The situation on the adoption of the law on implementation of the so-called EU Gas Directive in Germany was also discussed. Heiko Maas assured that amendments to German law were in line with the provisions of this directive.
The parties also discussed practical cooperation in the context of implementation of Ukraine's course towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
